About Compound Hands

"Compound Hands" is a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness across the Greater Toronto Area. Our mission is to provide nourishing meals and essential supplies to those in need, helping restore dignity and hope.

Homelessness remains a pressing challenge across Canada, particularly in Ontario where over 80,000 individuals were reported to be without stable housing, according to a recent report by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. This number is expected to rise significantly over the next decade.

This growing crisis is driven by multiple contributing factors, including unaffordable housing, inadequate income, unemployment, poverty, and limited access to mental health and addiction services. These conditions highlight the urgent need for comprehensive support, especially in meeting basic necessities like food, hygiene, and shelter.
